Message from Principal’s Desk
Dear Students, Parents, Alumni, and Well-Wishers,
Greetings from St. Antony’s Educational Institutions, Cowdalli!
It is my privilege, as Principal of our High School and Pre-University College, to extend a heartfelt welcome to you. I am Dennis Sambath Kumar J, and I am deeply honored to serve this venerable institution, where faith, discipline, and academic excellence have been guiding lights since 1955.
Born and raised in the serene village of Thomaiyar Palayam in Goreyur, Hanur Taluk, Chamarajanagara District, I carry with me the values of humility, perseverance, and community that define rural life. These roots have shaped my journey and inspired my lifelong dedication to education and personal growth.
My academic path began at St. Thomas Rural Primary and High School, followed by Sacred Heart PU College, Madanthiyar, Belthangadi. Driven by a passion for literature and teaching, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (2015–16), a Master of Arts in English (2018–19), and a B.Ed. Alongside my studies, I gained invaluable experience teaching Spoken English and English across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh. This diverse exposure enriched my ability to foster positive learning environments and adapt to varied cultural contexts.
Before joining St. Antony’s, I served for over four years at St. Thomas High School in my native place and at Shree Vivekananda Educational Institution, contributing as both high school and college faculty. Now, in my fourth year at St. Antony’s, I remain committed to upholding our legacy of holistic development.
I believe that education is not only about academic achievement but also about nurturing discipline, teamwork, honesty, and a positive attitude toward learning. My vision is to inspire our students to excel in both academics and co-curricular activities, shaping them into confident individuals who contribute meaningfully to society. At St. Antony’s, we uphold the ethos that continuous learning is the cornerstone of success in every field.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Tenny Kurian and Rev. Fr. Anthony Mani for entrusting me with this responsibility, and to all our correspondents, staff, and my beloved parents for their unwavering support and blessings. A special word of thanks to our current Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Justin, whose leadership continues to guide us forward.
Together, let us build a brighter future for our students, rooted in the timeless values of our institution.
May God bless us all in our endeavors.
In Service and Faith,
Dennis Sambath Kumar J
